Brutal Beating and Murder of a Prisoner in Sanandaj Prison of Iran

Prison beatings and killings of prisoners are routinely occurring since the appointment of Ebrahim Raisi as regime’s president and Gholam-Hossein Mohseni Eje’i as Judiciary chief. Earlier, Shahin Naseri was murdered in prison in mid-September, and Amir Hossein Hatami, a 22-year-old man, was beaten to death by the clerical regime’s judiciary agents in prison in late September.

The clerical regime, fearful of another uprising, is desperately exerting suppression, torture, executions, and creating an atmosphere of terror and intimidation. The Iranian resistance once again urges the United Nations, human rights authorities, European governments, and the United States to condemn these criminal executions and to take urgent action to stop them.
