The Iranian government has launched a “smart protocols” plan that will impose some restrictions on those unvaccinated against COVID-19, as it aims for the country to learn to “co-exist” with the coronavirus.

Activities including attending school, going to the cinema and travelling on aeroplanes or buses to other provinces would require a digital pass, the government said.

The passes will be available to those who have been fully vaccinated.

In a statement released by the Council of Europe, it said that “Turkey is refusing to abide by the court’s final judgment in this case” and that the country will now be subject to “infringement proceedings” and disciplinary action.

The court judgement it referred to was the European Court of Human Rights (ECHR), which ruled in 2019 that the businessman and philanthropist has been unjustly detained and that Ankara should release him.

From attempt of killing Iraq’s prime minister to assassinating people has long been the preserve of the most advanced armed forces, such as America’s and Israel’s. Using drones highlights how Iran’s unmanned aerial vehicles are changing the military balance in the Middle East

The attempt on November 7th to kill Iraq’s prime minister, Mustafa al-Kadhimi, was a dramatic demonstration of how such “precision strike” capabilities are spreading to less advanced countries and even shadowy militias.

Lines outside bread stores and gas stations; farmers defaulting on loans; impromptu street demonstrations. The signs of economic distress in Turkey are all too clear as the lira continues a dizzying slide.

The latest week of turmoil follows months of worsening economic conditions for Turkish citizens. The currency has lost more than 45 percent of its value this year, and nearly 20 percent in the last week, continuing its downward trend on Tuesday.

Economists have tied the currency crisis to President Recep Tayyip Erdogan’s direct interference in monetary policy and his determination to lower interest rates.

She denied sewing suicide vests for bombers and claimed she can help British security forces crack down on extremists.

She was stripped of her citizenship in 2019 by Sajid Javid and in February this year the Supreme Court ruled on national security grounds that she cannot return to Britain to pursue an appeal against the decision.

Israel has identified the first cases of a new COVID-19 variant, first found in South Africa and neighboring countries, prompting Prime Minister Naftali Bennett on Friday to announce a ban on arrivals from most African countries and warn that the country is on the brink of a state of emergency.

Following a meeting with health officials, Bennett announced that subjects to approval by the coronavirus cabinet, African countries, except for those in north Africa, would be classified as “red,” meaning non-Israelis will not be able to enter if they departed from those countries.

Bennett said the new variant was highly contagious and spread much more rapidly than the delta variant.
